House On The Gannel, Newquay

Replacing a dilapidated bungalow, this scheme for the replacement dwelling was developed to capitalise on the coastal and river views available. Designed with a modern aesthetic the new house recognises the prominent nature of the site and responds to the idiosyncratic nature of the surrounding context. The plan arrangement centres on a double height living space with living accommodation fed from it. The primary accommodation enjoys large areas of glazing providing the internal spaces with excellent natural daylight and outwards views toward the river and coast beyond.
