Trenouth Farm Holiday Accommodation, Trevone
Early in 2010 Lilly Lewarne Architects were commissioned to design a holiday letting scheme, to be complementary to an established farm business in Trevone, Cornwall. From a descriptive brief a concept scheme of detached two storey three and four bedroom holiday cottages evolved, balancing the sensitive site context with a workable sustainable aesthetic. Planning consent was granted in January 2011, allowing work to start on site in May 2011. An unusual aspect of the project was the client electing to act as project and site manager, effectively creating a self-build scheme, which was inspected and certified by Lilly Lewarne Architects to a successful completion in July 2012.
